Calibre Resourcing Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a qualified and experienced Carpenter or Building Supervisor based in Mareeba, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for ongoing work with the chance of securing a permanent position with a reputable construction business.


Whether you’re an experienced on-the-tools Carpenter or a hands-on Supervisor with strong leadership skills, we’d love to hear from you!


Carpenter Duties Include:

  • Framing and Structural Work: Constructing wall frames, roof trusses, and floor systems.
  • Fix-Out/Fit-Off Work: Installing doors, architraves, skirting boards, cabinetry, shelving, and fittings.
  • Formwork: Building timber or steel moulds for concrete pours.
  • Decking & Outdoor Structures: Building patios, pergolas, stairs, and decking to specification.
  • Cladding & External Finishes: Installing fascia, soffits, weatherboards and other external elements.
  • Renovation & Extensions: Modifying existing structures, room layouts, and residential upgrades.
  • Interpreting Plans: Reading and applying detailed building and technical plans.
  • Tool Operation: Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Building Supervisor Duties Include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of construction sites from start to finish.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and trade teams to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Maintaining quality control by ensuring all work is completed to standards and specifications.
  • Monitoring WHS compliance and enforcing safety procedures and practices on-site.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, site workers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ordering building materials, planning deliveries, and managing schedules.
  • Problem-solving and addressing any delays or issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensuring the project stays on track, on time, and on budget.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Carpenter with Cert III in Carpentry or relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or Building Supervisor
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card)
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings
  • Great communication and time management skills
  • Supervisory tickets (for Supervisor role preferred but not essential)
