Calibre Resourcing Solutions is currently recruiting for two permanent Sales & Service Technicians on behalf of a leading materials handling company servicing the mining, ports, terminals and sugar industries.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter looking to transition into a technical sales and service position while remaining involved in field work and customer support.
About the Role
Our client specialises in the supply, installation and servicing of conveyor system components including belt cleaners, impact cradles, belt trackers, vibrators and air cannons.
As a Sales & Service Technician, you'll enjoy a varied role combining office-based duties with hands-on site work.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining customer relationships
Following up quotations and identifying new business opportunities
Installing, servicing and auditing conveyor equipment
Providing technical support to customers
Liaising with site personnel across various industries
Regular travel throughout Queensland, with occasional interstate travel opportunities

About You
To be successful you will have:
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
Desire to transition into a technical sales environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel for customer visits and occasional shutdown work
Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol testing
Advantageous (but not essential):
Additional industry tickets and licences
Experience working in mining, ports, sugar or heavy industry
Previous customer-facing or sales experience
Location
These opportunities are available for local candidates based in Mackay or Gladstone, or applicants who are willing to relocate at their own expense.
