Electrical Supervisor – FIFO & DIDO | 8:6 Roster | 6-Month Project


Calibre Resourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead major project works commencing March 2026. This is a hands-on leadership role supervising electrical installation crews across structured capital works projects.


This position requires strong project delivery capability, contractor management experience, and a demonstrated commitment to safety leadership.


About the Role

  • Reporting into Project Management, you will be responsible for:
  • Supervising electrical project works including:
  • Cabling installation & cable tray work
  • Fit-out and fit-off activities
  • Underground services (conduits, pits, buried services)
  • Managing electrical trades and contractors to deliver within cost, schedule & quality constraints
  • Resource and equipment allocation to meet project objectives
  • Monitoring scope, schedule, SHEC performance, and project controls
  • Endorsing project execution plans and risk assessments
  • Liaising with Project Managers and operational stakeholders
  • Ensuring works comply with Safe Task Management procedures
  • Supporting mobilisation and contractor management processes
  • Identifying improvement opportunities across CAPEX/OPEX delivery
  • Providing input into monthly project reporting
  • This is a leadership role requiring strong supervision across multidisciplinary crews.

Project Details

  • Start Date: 24 March 2026
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off
  • Tuesday–Tuesday or Wednesday–Wednesday
  • FIFO: Townsville or Brisbane
  • DIDO: Cloncurry or Mount Isa (local candidates preferred)
  • Wages: Above award
  • Medical: Must be able to pass full pre-employment medical including D&A

Experience & Requirements

  • Trade-qualified Electrician (recognised institution)
  • Minimum 10 years post-trade experience in mining, heavy industry or mineral processing
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
  • Strong project/install background
  • Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary crews
  • High-Risk Work Licence (LF, WP, DG, CN desirable)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Risk management
  • Project controls
  • SHEC requirements
  • Applicable standards & regulations
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office; SAP exposure advantageous)
  • Strong communication and leadership capability
